Thank you for this video! I graduate in May and I'm already feeling the "why don't I have a job already" rush. Thanks for making me feel less alone for not having a job lined up for right after graduation.

I recently found this channel and I love it. I would love to see some people come on who have different backgrounds. I haven't watched every episode yet, but it seems like most guests have a career on social media, writing, online video etc. Again, I love the channel, keep it up!

I graduated a month ago and still struggling with the sense of being "behind" everyone else. I've been realizing as well that the best thing I can do is to make the most of my time is by growing as a person and trying new experiences that are outside my comfort zone. Thank you so much for the tips! Loving this channel <3

This has been SO helpful! I'm graduating in 15 days and the last 2 months have consisted of restless sleeping and stress as I get closer to being an actual adult and trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing. I feel SO much better about a lot of things since finding your channel, and this one especially put me at ease! <3

As a complement to this video I'd love to see one on how to stay afloat in grad school. I think I do a decent job, but I'm sure you guys have way more tips that could help me save. :)

Thank you so much for this video! I graduated last spring and still haven't got a "career job". I have been talking to some of my alumni (don't know what you call it in english) and alot of them have jobs in the field by now (though not all). This makes me so frustrared because I am still working as a barista and just can't figure out how to get a job. But vids like this help me feel like I am not alone and that it's okey that it might take some time to get a "career job". Just thanks for making this sort of content and keep up the good work!

One thing I'd like to see more of is tips on how to get more/better conections in your field. Specially since I'm not the most social person and never really been good at mingling on business events.

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm on a FinDiet binge currently XD and this video is super relevant to my fiance's current position. We both graduated with B.S's in ChemE (worked on our senior project together--that's how we met!) and I began the job search before he did because I graduated in May and he in August. I have a feeling his time to get hired is coming soon!!

hahah the Major Police :D
this is very true, and not just for the first year post-grad... it's always important to try as hard as possible to not compare yourself to others, forget about this giant timeline we're supposed to be on... instead work on achieving your own goals, and doing your own shit that makes you happy and fulfilled.

Thank you! This was an excellent episode! I'm currently 8 months out of school with what I feel is nothing to show for it. I've taken the time to travel and work on passion projects, which have been invaluable for my sanity, but I definitely still get that feeling that I'm behind everyone else in my graduating class. I don't think a salaried job is likely in my field anytime soon, but I'm hustling right now for even a part time job that has some relevance.

Super interesting range of experiences! I definitely felt that comparison depression. Hell, I still get that! But it helps to remember there my "path" is whatever I want. Best advice I can give people, just pick somethings that are interesting, try to have a general direction in mind, and explore every avenue!

So great to hear some real stories! Hope to see more like this for inspiration :) I just quit my "real" job to hop into freelancing so I'm doing my best to make it all work out but it's hard to find paying gigs!

I graduate in 4 months and I already feel "behind." I'm going to graduate with an advertising degree, which I'm sure as you both know is a super competitive field. I'd also love to get an entry level job in an advertising agency. This was super comforting/helpful!

I thought this video was really helpful and well done. I only have one little piece of advice: avoid using like, um, and actually when you speak. There were sections in the video where you used these words and sounds over five times in one minute. One of the keys to being a great conversationalist is to speak as though you were writing. Other than that, keep up the good work!

With a major in philosophy I'm not worried about some Major Police tracking me down for not using my degree... not sure if that is a good or bad thing...
