In episode 99 of Feel Better Live More, Patrick McKeown is with me to discuss the many benefits of nasal breathing.

Patrick was himself a mouth-breather for the first 25 years of his life and when he discovered nasal breathing, it literally transformed his life. His sleep, anxiety levels and asthma all improved drastically as he began to breathe through his nose.

Patrick believes breathing correctly – that is, through your nose, lightly, and slowly – is the secret to better health, fitness and overall wellbeing.

Yet many of us are breathing through our mouths, breathing fast and shallow, and our health is suffering as a result.

There is good news though! It’s never too late to correct your breathing.

Whether you suffer from breathlessness, nasal congestion, snoring, sleep apnoea, stress, or anxiety – or if you simply want to improve your performance day-to-day – this episode is packed with practical tips to do just that.

I really think this could be life changing for many people.

A very interesting podcast, but, at the end he seems to contractict everything that is experienced on the WimHof method. Claiming that affects oxygen uptake, yet the WimHof method does the reverse. It improves exercise, endures the cold, helps fight some diseases. and auto immune conditions. I don't think his reference to a study is relevant when the result difference is de-minimus.
