Miracle Landing: Pilot Survives Dramatic Light Plane Crash!

After their light plane lost all power and very nearly crashed into some suburban homes, the pilot and his partner miraculously escaped unharmed and made a belly landing on a runway.

Just before 2:00 pm on Sunday, pilot Jake Swanepoel's light aircraft had engine failure. Amazing video footage shows his desperate attempt to direct the aircraft over houses in Western Sydney.

At Bankstown Airport on the west of the city, the little Cessna aircraft narrowly avoided two hangars, struck the top of a tree, and then crashed onto the runway, coming to a scream on the grass about 150 metres later.
