The fact that this calls back to the first ending animation wise really sells it so dang much. Really feels like we’re going full circle on top of reaching the end of this journey.😌

This relates to the first ED so nicely. The first ED showed Reigen's usual morning routine, including the sights on his commute and walk to work, but this shows Mob's routine disrupted, and going for a walk in the middle of the night. They both end with the world coming into colour, but while Reigen's was to show his bond with Mob, Mob's ends with him more self-asserted and confident, taking a jog down his own path. It feels like a very poetic ending for the final season, even if I do still slightly prefer the first ED.

Mob Choir's voice is wonderful, this ending will be very special for the end of this incredible story, our little protagonist has grown up a lot.

The best part of this whole thing is seeing how mob succeeds in actually changing himself to the point where he is actually jogging back home such a good story😢

Anybody else notice how Reigen isn’t in it at all? I feel like that’s Mob moving on from relying on him and being his true self.

This ending is wonderful. The paint on glass animation has gotten even better and I actually like the song more than the opening's. Seeing Mob's growth as a person throughout the show makes me feel like a proud parent. His smile at 1:14 is just adorable. 🥺

Anyone notice how the openings of the first and third season are connected (by song) and now the endings of the first and third are connected (by art medium) as well?

If you haven’t listened to the full version of season 3's opening yet, you probably don’t know about how it ties in with the first opening.

This feels really refreshing after today's episode.
Knowning the series is over is quite sad, but it's such a great series and I'm happy it had such a beautiful ending.
From start to finish this has been my favorite anime.

Everytime i hear this ed I feel like a wound in my heart has opened. I just remember the smiling face of Mob in the final scene...what a good journey it was, I will always love this show.

I can't even begin to imagine how hard that final shot was to animate. The fact that each frame was using multiple colors in a incredibly new and difficult animation medium and yet it was so well animated is incredible

The bottle cap with the star on it is the same one that is on the ground when Reigen confesses to Mob in the final episode. I think Mob picks up the bottle cap, smiles, and the world turns to color as he accepts himself and moves forward in this ending.
