Ross Rosenberg is an expert on pathological narcissism, codependency, and trauma treatment. He's back on the show to talk about his new book, The Codependency Revolution: Fixing What Was Always Broken.

He sums up codependency in the context of narcissistic relationships so succinctly here, I had to share it.

Wow! This was so many years of my life. Perfect simple.explanation. Codependency is so debilitating and definitely was a trauma response/coping mechanism to feel safe and stemmed from the C-PTSD I have from childhood and beyond.

Sorry people- my first comment on here grossly inaccurate. Terri Cole responded and stated that there more nuance and there is a full version to this video. Sorry about that. I hope I haven't misled anyone with my sweeping statement. Rarely is anyone all good or bad! I should have taken a moment to reflect on that. Have a good day!😊

It's a bit more complicated than this definition. Nothing is ever simply black or white, good or bad, 100% abuser or 100% victim.

Wow. That's not good. I never knew that was co-dependancy. That's a consistently good person with a consistently selfish person.
