An underrated dip i often make is: a tin of sardines (without the oil), greek yogurt, a bit of mayo and mustard, one or two shallots and fresh herbs.
Some people are put off by the idea of sardines but it really mellows with the yogurt and is incredible!

for the hummus, not the can water, put only olive oil in the mixer, to make it softer and stick to the tongue and deliver the flavour.

In the French Onion dip besides the cooked onion and vinegar, he's basically using the same ingredients as a packet with the powder and bullion.

I just hate that all of these are so much easier than you'd think. Particularly the spinach and artichoke dip. Like, seriously? Frozen artichoke, spinach, some cream cheese, and spices blended together, topped with parmesan, and tossed in the oven? That's it?!
