You basically just showed me how to make Windows 10 even MORE authoritarian. What I needed to know is how to remove ALL permissions. My games won't run because Windows has decided no-one but me has permission to modify my files (and it doesn't like me very much either).

Thank You it worked. My issues was resolved for error message in Davinci Resolve 18 - please ensure that the selected render location has write permissions enabled.

So, let's say that the file is in a Linux server, will I completely screw up the server's file system if I set a file as read-only form Windows???

Is there a way to modify individual permissions in a group? For example, if you have a group of 5 people under one group (John, Mary, George, Alex, Sam) there doesn't seem to be a way to edit just Alex but rather whatever changes you make applies to all 5 people. Thanks.

i want to edit the admin from the folder only to "this folder, subfolders, and files" but i cant edit it there is no edit button whats the fix ?
