Whatever the mission, a Royal Marines Commando will never give up. They dig deep within themselves and find the strength to push on until the job is done – and every challenge conquered makes them stronger.

They won’t stop climbing.

They won’t stop trying.

They won’t stop fighting.

Within you is the best you. Let’s find it together.

It’s a state of mind, you may already have it.

This is the kind of advert that people need to see instead of seeing one about someone growing up with 2 mums. This is exactly what is needed and what every other country needs. We need to show the truth about joining the Army or the Marines. It is not easy and will be hard to get through. Otherwise, we will not have the right people in the armed forces.

I'm serving in the Royal Navy and I'm glad I get to work with these guys. Hard as nails but the funniest blokes ever.

The US Army should hire whoever comes up with these recruiting adds. They are brilliant!

D-Day Poem
This inspirational poem summoning up a can-do spirit in faith in oneself, was used by Canadian soldiers in 1944 - 1945. They were pasted in berets or in the small pack.

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't,
If you like to win, but you think you can't
It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

I have read a lot of special forces soldiers biographies and that is the reoccurring theme, your state of mind, your ability to push through.

It was my dream since I was a child to join the Royal Marines. However my body is cursed, everytime I got ready to join I was hit by another medical drama. From needing bowl surgery when I was 16 to needing eye surgery when I was 24. Then when I was 28 I was diagnosed with a major heart disorder which was the final blow as I now have a defibrillator inside of me and can never join the Royal Marines let alone any part of the military or armed forces. I'm now 32 and feel completely lost in life as all my dreams that I had my whole life have been shattered!!

I will always respect and take my hat off to all those serving, for they are blessed to be able to follow their dreams!

Such a wonderful advert! If the Royal Marines would accept foreign EU citizens on their trials, I would give my mind and body for the job, like a true warrior, the objective and the team! Till' then I will focus on acting like one in the civilian life, with valor and perseverance!
Success begins with a person's Will!

I think that the Royal Marine Commandos make the best recruitment adverts. Not a trace of the wokery that has infiltrated the other arms of the British Armed Forces.
