Yiruma's River Flows in You, another one of the most requested pieces to be performed on this channel, and another thank you to you all for being here on this pianistic journey. Although this piece is a stark contrast to the intensity and excitement of the 3rd Movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata from last week, it is one that can really make you think. Especially with how the piece ends there is one word I feel most accurately describes the work: bittersweet. And although it's a Monday, I hope this piece can bring a pleasant start to your week :)

2 years ago, I started to learn piano and I heard my grand parents in their room saying that this song meant a lot to them. So from there, I tried so hard to learn this song. Tonight is my piano concert and they are coming. I wanted them to come because I'm going to play this song and I want to know that they are important to me. I'll try not to cry but it's so hard ahhhh.. Wish me luck ahahah !

update : I was so stressed when it was my turn to play on the piano, i was shaking and i started to play with so much stress. But then i was so into the song that the stress in me started to disappear a little bit ! i finished the song and i started to cry. Everyone was applauding me and i saw my grand parents looking at me so proudly and saying it ! thank you everyone for the likes and sweet comments ! i’m happy to be able to share my little story with you ! have a good day <3

When I listened to this song, my little sister and my dog used to come to my room due to the noise, and I think they loved the song, now it's been a year since both passed away in a car crash... I can't even hear this song without crying...

Sometimes a song comes a long and absolutely speaks to your heart and soul. This song speaks to me on that level. I can play a simplified version of it (working towards the full version one day) and my fingers just glide across the keyboard. It’s truly a healing experience.

This song reminds me of the bittersweet times in my life. Enjoying great times with people who are no longer here. Past relationships that didn't pan out but great times were still had. And the thought of losing the ones that I love. It just makes me cry big ugly tears every time I hear this song. Thank you for playing it.

I heard this song ages ago and didn’t know the name, went on a hunt for it for months, then forgot. Around a whole year later, I heard a classmate playing it on the piano in our school. I’m so happy!

My brother just passed away, he used to play this song all the time. I think it was his favorite way to warm up with. I never actually appreciated how beautiful this song is until now, and I don't even think I can attempt to play it without crying.
