My wife's HP Pavillion laptop's power light wouldn't turn off after shutting down. I would have to hold the power button down for a few seconds until it powered off and when repowered, it. would say it wasn't shut down properly. The sleep function wouldn't work either when you shut the laptop closed or selected it from the menu. Your steps fixed all of this, Thanks a million, man. I wanted people to know that if they were having my issue it would probably fix that too

Wow I had this problem for years. I thought I had to update the BIOS.
So for years I thought... "one day Im gonna update the BIOS"
If he dies, he dies.

But the solution was this simple !

is it possible to do this without ever using your screen? i have this issue along with an issue involving my screen not working and the only way i can fix the screen issue is by turning it off but i can't do that
