DEWALT Impact Driver vs Impact Wrench

Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems to me that the drivers are faster because they are made for coarse thread, wood to wood connections. Even though the wrenches have roughly the same speed and impact rate, their designed for fine thread, metal to metal connections that are only 2-3 inches at most for a wrench that size.

Have you noticed on the dewalt impact driver how it bumps down in gear about more than half way through

Takes forever with either. Wrong tools. Use a drill.
