Fix Your Xbox Controller Thumb-sticks (without opening it up)

Simple instructions how to fix broken stock Xbox wireless controller thumb-sticks with one simple tool and no opening the case.

READ BEFORE TRYING!

1) This only works if the internal post is not also broken. This is not a fix for stick drift
Pulling the sticks off is risky folks, so do this when you have nothing else to lose. Also THE POST IS RECTANGULAR AND THE SLOT IS TOO. ALIGN THEM WHEN PUTTING THE STICK BACK ON!

3) I am just a dude who fixed his controller. I do not spend my time trying to break and fix other controllers other than mine. I do not have an Elite, a Skuff, or PS4 controlers. The only one I have is the one you see in the video. If you want to try this fix on another controller I would love to hear how it goes, but don't assume success.

You should have specified that your controller is custom and standard controllers don’t have a rubber base to the analog, because I and many others have broken the analog

Dropped my controller off the bed here towards the end of 2024. Didn’t want to remove the face but was looking for a video to do just that as my right stick had popped off somehow. Not even 5 seconds in I see this video in the suggestions, and abandone that stupid idea. Thank you for providing a useful video that was exactly what I needed.
