This is crazy. I have T-Mobile but it was much slower on 5G. LTE was at 150 mpbs and 5G was 32.2 mbps. I am MINDBLOWN.

I have gone from phone to phone (iPhone SE, iPhone SE 2nd generation, iPhone 12, iPhone 13) and carrier to carrier (AT&T, MetroPCS, Xfinity mobile, T-Mobile, and now Verizon) and nothing seems to make a difference. I get no service anywhere near the water!

customer service on simple mobile was trying to sell me a 5G device I said no thank you I want what I want a 4G LTE phone he said well 5G is faster and it will only rule very soon I said to him good until then I'll be using what I want some customer service are horrible they want to sell you what they want not what you want to buy.

As my carrier only allows 100mbps speeds (which 4g lte supports) I turned off 5g

Phones are starting to disable the ability to turn the 5g off... When I was able to turn it off, I had at least an hour more battery life. Since that is no longer an option, I use power saver with the cpu limit. That helps.

Another thing Verizon doesnt tell you is if you terminate your contract with them 2 week before the bill is due they will force you to keep your service turned on until the end of the month and still charge you the full amount for the next month.

I live out in the country and I work at home. There's a US cellular tower 2 miles away that has 5g sub 6. I use their mid tier home internet which gets me around 60-80 mbps. The router is so strong that my wifi reaches into my garage so I don't have to use my phone data. So why would I leave my phone on 5g? That would make no sense at all!

This is one of the reasons I don’t have an android phone in the us. None of the carriers except T-Mobile will let you turn off 5g or have a ai determine if it can use it or not.

What I don't like about Verizon is the fact that push phones and they're 1200 1800.00 and it's like they only support up to a certain point maybe two to three years. Meanwhile our phones are still charging they're still doing great... why don't they extend their services Beyond 2 to 4 years

I knew about 5G heating since 5G became the norm. It uses more battery life and is not efficient, because heat is wasted energy. I live in an area where 50 mbps is good enough on LTE. I forget that I have 5G disabled.

They need to put in more tower coverage across the country is horrible. And I wish they would come down our rd and fix land lines. I have family members in my home so incase of emergency.
