Aemond is very lonely here like he was when he was a child. He shouldn't have burned Aegon, but his desperation, loneliness when an entire army is marching on the other side with dragons outnumbering his and he is only doing what his mother taught him his entire life. Even his mother left him to die at this point. The only thing he loved in his life was his mother.

People probably hate Aemond by the end of this season but this is the most sorry i've felt for him. Thanks to Ewan Mitchell. This is the same episode where Aemond burned a village because he was merely angry. But I can't help but feel his pain, because of Ewan Mitchell's fantastic acting.
