I don't understand how in the right mind any person would think Aemond would be loyal as a hound. A person who said as a child that it's alright, he got a dragon in exchange of an eye. A person like that won't like anyone unworthy. Daemon still loved his brother bcz their mother was nice and he was treated well. Aemond didn't get that from his mother or brother.

This is such a parallel to Viserys and Daemon. He knew his brother was rogue and a seasoned warrior, and never ridiculed or bullied him. Daemon stayed loyal to Viserys till the end.

Ramsey also said his dogs wouldn't hurt him, because they're loyal. But then he starved them and so they ate him.

Just goes to show that if you mistreat your "loyal" hound, they might not be so loyal anymore.

If Aegon had only treated his "loyal" brother with respect I believe Aemond would have actually stayed loyal to Aegon. Aegon should have realized the extremely valuable resource he had in a brother that could beat all of tbe Kingsguard in a swordfight, knows as much as the older Maesters, and rides the largest and oldest dragon alive at the time. If I was Aegon I would have named Aemond as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, or at least on the Kingsguard. After the murder of Aegons son he should have named Aemond Prince of Dragonstone or at the very least given him something to honor him since he was basically the second most dangerous man in Westeros behind their Uncle Daemon.

His brother never should’ve treated him that way! I know brothers pick at each other but after they had both grown older his brother should’ve showed him respect and love! Instead all he did was try to humiliate and hurt Aemond cuz I think he was jealous of him! Aemond got tired of being humiliated by his own brother, he got tired of being tormented and made to feel less than! Aemond did what he had to do! You can’t get by with hurting others then expect them to not react!

Aemond isn’t twisted. He is calculating intelligent tactical patient skill with swords and is the fiercest warrior on the greens. He deserves that crown. He literally earned. That’s rare too because men usually don’t want it but answer to the call. Aemond was born for it. The Throne is his and if I was in this world I’d make it come true

What’s sad is that Aemond was and is loyal to his brother and family but after everything Aemond does for Aegon, Aegon still even as king insults Aemond every chance he gets. Next to daemon, Aemond is the most ruthless man in the seven kingdoms
