The 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat Is The Best Utilitarian Small Truck In America

preview_player
Показать описание
Americans have been begging automakers for a much smaller and more affordable truck for years. For 2021, the #FordMaverick makes a return but its comeback is not the 2-door sport coupe some people may remember. Instead, Ford choose to bring the #Maverick name back as a small, unibody truck built on the same platform as the #Ford Escape and #BroncoSport. This fully loaded #MaverickLariat with the 1st edition package may very well be the best new small truck in America.

most reviewers say hard plastic feels hard plastic is my favorite...easy to clean and very durable

Way to go Ford! Sized right and won't put someone in a financial hardship.

It's a fantastic little truck. I've owned an XLT for a couple of months now. The hybrid drivetrain is amazing, with gas mileage I never would have thought possible in a truck. Ironically, my first car was a '72 Maverick with a 302 V-8. It did 0-60 in about 9 seconds, and got maybe 13 MPG on a good day. My new Maverick does it in 7.5 seconds....and gives me over 40MPG in the bargain. It is quiet, refined, incredibly smooth, and drives like a dream. Almost too good to be true. 😍

I ordered my Lariat Maverick in July 2021 and it was just built this week, can't wait to finally get it!

I've seen reviews mostly of the hybrid, good to see one on the 2.0T. Wish the interiors were less plasticky but overall appears to be a very capable small utility and priced well too

I have the 2.0 ecoboost and love this vehicle.

In my opinion you are the most professional and thoughtful reviewer on the net.

Whenever you find yourself comparing the Maverick to a similarly priced sedan, and start noticing the missing tech, you’ve got to remind yourself that you are getting the utility of a truck in exchange

I just got one after waiting a year. Lariat in blue. Getting 37 MPG on average so far. It was worth the wait!

It may very well be the best value proposition on the market, bar none. I think the sweet spot is a nicely equipped XLT.

I waited 6 months 5 days for my Lariat Hybrid. I added the tailgate damper so it doesn't drop when opening.. I also added the SIBL, stubby antenna, tri fold tonneau cover, wireless charging mat, wireless android auto dongle, reflective tailgate letters, window vents, tinted the front windows to match the back and added a strip across the windshield and floor mats. Mine is Cactus Gray. I've owned my truck since January 3rd and am getting 42 COMBINED, 85% hwy driving calculated at the pump! I love this truck & Ford hit a homerun! It has plenty of power and acceleration is very deceiving. You press the peddle and all the sudden your running 80, in seconds...you wont want for additional power its peppy! I'll drive this truck till the wheels fall off I like it that much and I honestly don't think I have ever felt that way before. I will only step out of this truck If Maverick goes EV !

What a cool truck! I do wish Ford included the safety features standard, and an AWD hybrid would be nice. I'm always excited to see these on the road!

Best looking trim I've seen so far, if it can get beyond 100k miles without transmission issues u got a winner

Got one a week ago love it! Had 2019 F150 gas savings alone is worth it.

When Ford discontinued the ranger because “nobody wants a small truck” I thought that’s a load of crap. I had a ‘98 Ranger with 325, 000 miles and wanted another. The fact that there is such a backlog of orders proves me right.

It's A good awesome little truck. I have one. It's velocity blue, eco boost engine, fx4, xlt, and all wheel drive. I didn't opt for any more options or safety items either. Because of price. But I have to keep In my mind is the thought, it's still a truck. A small one but a firm, fine Ford Tough Truck. Thanks for the review.

I speced out a fully loaded Lariat First Edition with a bunch of accessories and it was only $46K Canadian. That's amazing. It looks pretty much like the Explorer Sport Trac from the side but I like it.
