the speed on the graph doesn't make any sense - i thought you did 40kmh and your gravel bike barely makes it to 20

Most of it must be the tires. Without the nubs it has been shown that fatter tires make little difference in speed

My GRX group set has similar gear ratio like my 105 and the gravel frame weighs 300g more than my road bike frame, i.e. wheels will basically make all the difference.

On stops, yeah. But on long tours, most of the route is throwing your bike forward like a train for several kms and that's where a good old classic English tourer (let alone her sons, the gravellers 😅) will go like a cannonball!! (And i'm Italian, but on a very uk-ish Roux Etape and i just so much love it :D )

You're just weak mate everybody can accelerate 0-40km/h within 5-6s especially when racing we can accelerate 0-40km/h within 4s even me with an MTB i can accelerate 0-40km/h within 5s
