How do we do speech therapy for children with echolalia?

Well, it depends on why and how they are using it. If they are repeating what others say because they lack the vocabulary or language skills to create their own sentences, we can provide speech therapy to boost their language skills.

Wondering what resources are available to parents of a child who has echolalia. Support groups online.? Do you take Blue cross blue shield and or Medicaid insurance? Are you a provider in NC?

Can you please post a series on how to do this at home? My son is 5 and I'm struggling really bad. We are on so many waitlists for Speech and OPT. And I feel like the longer he waits the more delayed he will be. He has a speech in school but it's not enough. I've even started teaching myself sign language. I just don't know what to do.

My 3 year old is at the tail end of echolalia (not repeating all the time) but can randomly repeat phrases from story books we read. I have realised that when I try to break it down the phrases, he tends to use a word or two in reference to something next time. I am dyslexic but I never thought that could be because he is gastalt processing. Please show me how I can help him more
