What intrigues me about James Bond is that everyone knows him, yet he can still travel around the world incognito.

Look how elegant the film is. Beautifully figured out and shot. Attention to performance. Subtle little soundtrack cues. Quieter scenes that aren't just there to link action set-pieces but sustain and build dramatic tension. And genuinely funny in places. No wonder the public was confused! 😆

It's a pity we never got a follow up or even an official film with Max von Sydow as Blofeld. He's pretty good in what screen time he has in this film.

Max Von Sydow was a perfect choice for Ernst Stavro Blofeld. That is one thing I wish the actual franchise did was find one single actor (Donald Pleasance, Telly Savalas or Charles Gray) to remain as the head character of SPECTRE. I kind of wish they retained Donald Pleasance as Blofeld. But Max Von Sydow was a perfect choice and perhaps the best for the role and to stay in that role. Either him or Pleasance...

He looked in far better shape in this film than in Diamonds are forever in my opinion, looked younger too somehow.
