Today, June 6th, 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of the historic D-Day landings in Normandy, France.

On this day in 1944, Allied forces from the US, UK, France, Australia, and Canada launched the largest amphibious invasion in history, turning the tide of World War II against Nazi Germany.

To commemorate this significant event, world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, gather at Omaha Beach to honor the sacrifices and bravery of those who fought for our freedom.

You can't imagine the energy you have and the emotions that go through you when you visit the cemetery in Normandy. The emotions are unbelievably strong and sad what the military went through on D Day. Please if you can ever visit Normandy please go

Those veterans were not forgotten.

Both of my grandfathers served and fought in WW2 US Army. I’ve been carrying their pictures in my wallet for 24 years, I always think of them and talk to others about them. One received a battle flag from his comrades! RIP PAPA, DAD.
