Biden salutes WWII veterans during D-Day 80th anniversary speech in Normandy

President Joe Biden addressed World War II veterans and guests to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces’ surprise attack helped liberate Europe from Nazi Germany. During the president’s address, Biden took the time to salute the WWII veterans sitting behind him.

Fun fact : Joey, with nuthin' more than a Ka-Bar clenched in his teeth, swam across the English Channel to Normandy, ran up the dunes and single handedly took out four bunkers, thus allowing a successful invasion at Utah beach.

I watched 102 year old men render a hand salute as strong and crisp as any thing we do when I do my color guard detail. They look sharper and demonstrated more military bearing than the commander in chief who fell asleep during the ceremony
