Six counter arguments:

1. Get off and stretch every so often
2. If you need to bring things around, get hard bags or just stash stuff under the passenger seat
3. If you never get bitches, you never need to ride with a passenger
4. Skill issue
5. Skill issue
6. Also skill issue, I ride mine on gravel roads and on grass sometimes

Sportbikes give you a feeling no other vehicles gives you, because of that sitting and leg position makes you feel like you’re one with the bike, like you’re moving, not like driving a vehicle at all. I don’t think anyone buy a sport bike for comfort or safety, we buy it bc we love the way it is.

#7 Don't buy a sport bike if you don't want the maximum amount of fun and thrills a motorcycle can offer.

I can ride my sportbike really comfortably for the first one hour. Started to feel the pain on the next hour. But just one stop with a 2 or 3 minutes of sitting straight on the bike, and i'm good to go back on the road lmao.

I've got an R6 and agree with every word....but wouldn't change it for the world and will happily ride it solid on a dry Sunday for 4 hours

There is no do-it-all bike. I advocate owning multiple different style bikes to fully enjoy every aspect of it, 3 at a minimum. A cruiser for long rides, a sport bike to exorcize squid demons, and a dual sport/adv for dirt.

7. Don’t buy a sport bike if you can’t handle having fun and going zoom zoom

I agree with you 100%, but I still love my sport bike for some reason🤣🤣

These were exactly the reasons I went out and bought a sport bike. I love naked bikes, but I love the sport bike life and the positioning.

These are very valid points to not buy a sportsbike though, and if comfort on the bike is a priority, then you definitely don't want one.

Comfort depends on the sport bike and your body. My buddy rode his Ninja 300 for 16 hours in a single day with me following in my truck (to rescue a ZX12R from the edge of the Canadian/US border but that's a different story) OF COURSE he was sore by the end, but he did it, and didn't screw up his back or anything. He just fits that bike really well, and he's an expert on it. He's taken the same 300 on dirt, gravel, the wet, every twisty you can imagine, can pull a U-turn in 2 spaces or less.

I don't get it. Bikes were never meant to be practical, or reasonable in any way, objectively, the better mean of transportation is the car. If you want to gain time in trafic, maybe, but then the reasonable and prectical solution is a scooter. Bike are and will always be about passion. Buy the bike that makes you happy when you ride and happy when you look at it, the one that makes you proud to ride. If that's a flagship sports bike and you can afford it, go for it by all means (test drive is key though). And remember the saying, ride your own ride, don't let people tell you what and how you should ride.
Y'all be safe ✌🏼

Sport bikes are just that. If you ain't gonna go fast. Don't buy one. They are not for beginners.

As someone that rides anything on two weeks and loves the crotch rockets this man speaks truth. Only a maniac would buy one. As I contemplate my next liter bike.

Sounds like reasons to buy a sport bike.

I was riding naked and adventure bikes for years and bought a sport bike last year just to check out if all that stuff you are talking about is correct for me. Nope, it isn’t. I love it to ride my GSXR and it’s not less comfortable to move it, it’s completely different. I use my naked GSF for smooth riding and bad weather times, but the fun I get from my Gixxer is unique for me, even with 192cm height.

I own an 06 ducati 999 .. probably one of the most challenging and uncomfortable bikes you can get. Turning circle. Dry clutch . Position. Hard seat . Gets hot.. BUT.. it looks and sounds the bollocks and I love the freedom and the way it makes me feel.. 😀
I am sure you could relate this video but say why you should stay single.. they nag. They spend your money. They are moody.. lol..
