It’s not always about the speed 😏 only a few people understand this.

This video sells this car better than most videos recommending it.

It has 2 doors, it is manual, it is simple, with modern amenities, it is a boxer engine, in other parts of the world it comes with the spare wheel as well as the exterior ones, it is relatively small, it has no electrification, it is anti-GoldDigger.
Basically it is the perfect vehicle.

I purchased a 2023 GR86 premium model. Couldn’t disagree more with this assessment video. I’ve driven BMW’s and Lexus. I wanted a compliment sports car to offset my Mercedes GLE 450. I could drive this GR86 everyday. Plenty of power for for streets. Handling is amazing. Interior panel and functions are simple, easy to use and perform perfectly. This car is a blast to drive. Find me a better bang for your buck. You won’t. You want a fun, cool sports car that doesn’t cost a fortune then this is it.

I consistently get under 6 seconds for 0-60. That’s pretty good for a 30K car and doesn’t feel slow to me especially since I have another car that can do 0-60 in the low 4s

Bought my first car, a 2016 FRS and I have zero regrets. I've been daily driving it for half a year and I still love it to death.

All you're saying is making me even more sure this is the car for me. 👍I just hope that I can actually find one in about a year, when it would make financial sense in my case...

A full year into BRZ ownership and a lot of autocross runs have given me zero reason to sell. I’ve had some moments where I wondered but hands down this is the best all around enthusiast car I’ve owned. It has shown me so much about myself as a driver. I could see also trying an old MR2 or Cayman to get mid engine experience, or a Miata if I lived somewhere a convertible made sense.

Fuel economy. For a small, light, sleek, low displacement car I'd expect at least 30 mpg on the highway.

what's your advice on being able to warm up the car on a track day? 1 lap ? 2 lap? Considering that some cars takes like 15 min to even get the oil temp up (when daily driving). The transmission, tires, Driver, also needs to warm up, etc. BTW, I know some nice roads to hit if you don't know about them. Its great places to practice low speed foot work. I call it the Touge of Summerlin.

Honestly the 86/BRZ is fine for what it is. My friend has a GR86 and he’s been loving it. Sure I can outrun him with my Model 3 but it doesn’t matter. As for space, I drove a 135i for a while, never had issues. As long as you have a different car for family use, any coupe will work perfectly.

You really got to adjust your standards accordingly to price. For price, the 86 is a great value. Sure you can’t outrun a Model 3 or have 135i interior but those things won’t matter when you are having fun and are paying about half the price. I can see why my friend likes it so much.

I’m on the fence with this car. I’m definitely an enthusiast, ever since I bought my 240sx in 2000 and did the SR swap and the whole 9. I almost want to chase that experience, lightweight, rwd, manual, etc. I’m just hoping it doesn’t feel too slow, but I have hopes it won’t. I’m currently in a 335i w upgraded suspension, fbo, tuned, xhp stage 3. I love driving it so much, to the point where I come up with places to go and make excuses to drive it. It’s getting up there in miles though and it’s slowly transitioning to my fun weekend car. My other vehicle is older, always overheating, and I need a good commute car. Its 30 min fun twisty backroads and 30 min interstate. So I was gonna get like a civic or corolla, but was thinking the gr86 could fill that roll AND keep the fun in my commute.

Don't worry about the blind dislikers who just read the title and nothing else, as a lover of this car who can also realize its downsides, great video!!

You surprisingly made me want the car more lol

All I'm hearing is that the car is a great daily driver and that is enough for me because I am looking for a new RWD manual, if I was looking for a track car I would most likely choose older cars that I'm less scared to push.

I got a 2023 brz and I am curious, how did you get carplay to work if you have your phone plugged in through the glovebox like mine?

Bought my BRZ back in 2013 and still have it today. I still smile when I drive on an empty winding road

Jubbal & Cars- I have a first grn BRZ and a brother of mine has a 2015 FRS, great cars. You didn't have any issues with the valve springs on your 2013 FRS?
