As a freelancer this is something I learned, cheap clients will micromanage you just so they can tell themselves that they're making the most of what they pay you. Rich clients will let you do your process, praise you when you do good, talk to you if results are on a decline and help you get back up. In short cheap clients don't really value time, they care about what they spend, rich clients value "you" they saw the potential when they hired you and they are there see you reach that potential and add more value to their business.
