I think I know why the game has a problem specifically with Napstaplook, Toriel and Asgore dodging:
All of them have extra checks to see if the hit will get their HP to a specific point which will trigger a reaction different from other monsters.
Toriel and Asgore always have their final hit deal about triple the normal damage and Napstaplook will not die and instead tell you you can't kill him.

Modded asgore: Can Dodge but still refuses to do so

Asgore thinks he doesn't deserve to dodge a child's attacks, so he crashes your game instead.
