Ah, the brake calculator makes a lot of sense, now, thanks
What I forgot in the forum post is the affect engine braking can have to the mechanical brake balances, especially if the driver is a bit harsh on down-changes which can produce spikes.

We used an electro hydrolic pump from a Peugeot in our k20 ef civic Tarmac rally car. We mounted it in the engine bay, I find the colum mounted powerstering slow to react or numb but the mk2 escort boys use them a corsa one specially.
