That's because it's just the wishbone swinging with nothing stopping it

Subaru tips for the people:
1 Use the OEM torque spec when upgrading to aftermarket head studs as more than that will misalign STOCK halves. Doing so will have the benefit of increased tensile strength without twisting the cases from too much torque. Personally i have made this mistake

2 Bigger turbos are not always but a lot of times better. Obviously this is application specific however ej's are not huge fans of a lot of torque.

3 Airflow is Key, anything you can do to increase the velocity of the air entering and exiting the engine while decreasing the cylinder pressure the better. This will also help to save some money on head gaskets ;)

This is not gospel but i hope it helps someone lol

That. THAT RIGHT THERE is what I love about Subaru Rally cars. I picked up a 2013 WRX in January.

I could be mistaken, but it looks like a few things are missing from this equation, the suspension isn’t complete, that’s just a shock absorber, you can even see it separate at the end, it’s not made for that much travel, you can even see the wheel gaining positive camber as the shock tube separates, nothing about this is correct

That ain't no suspension no more, that's just straight extension

Amazing what they can fit into a stock-ish format. Absolute lunacy what they do with trophy trucks and shit.

Rally cars are real speed, the fact they can accelerate faster then F1 cars on gravel is just insane. Rally cars have to be the closest thing to an actual useful form of racing, as it requires optimization towards all types of land you might drive on like dirt, sand, mud, gravel, snow AND asphalt.

Think that's cool look at a dirt super late model rear suspension. Very cool engineering

pretty sure it is broken and just sliding out

Based on how the average rally car sits, they are either super soft springs or the chassis is extremely heavy.

They was over extending the shock. You can see it trying to come apart/misaligned when the wheel to to the bottom. That car would have 4 or 5 inches of travel max with still coil over spring

I'd like to have a few sets of ice and snow rally tires for testing.

There is no suspension just a shock. And it does not have that much travel when driving. SMH
