Sequential are actually pulled back to shift up and pushed forward to shift down. But it's a cool trick still.

EDIT: Okay, so I’m finally going to edit this. I thought it was obvious, but it’s a sim *_racing_* rig, so I was trying to only look at the racing side of sequential transmissions.

- A racing sequential transmission is always up to shift down and down to shift up.

- Street sequential transmissions are often up to shift up and down to shift down.


Fun fact: Sequential race cars are made this way because it’s more natural with the amount of G's you pull when braking and speeding up.

Simple but actually brilliant, thank you, I’m fairly new to truck sims and pc gaming and very new to steering wheels and shifters, got myself the G923 with a GT omega stand, probably not the best I know but I like it, little tip videos like this are a god send . Happy driving everyone . Maybe at 40 i shouldn’t be quite so excited about using a steering wheel in a game but i am 🤣

Elastic straps are alot better than rubber O rings, trust me, ive used elastic bands, rubber O rings, the elastic straps are by far the best thing you can use to mod your logitec shifter into a sequential [ps im an esports rally driver and team owner of Friday Frolix]

Sequential shifter actually are the oposit way you pull it to get a higher gear and push to a lower gear

you have it backwards, 3d gear would be gear down and 4th gear would be gear up

my logitech shifter after 2 years is so old that my 2nd, 4th and 6th gear don’t ever really stay in gear so i have to use 1, 3, 5 or the paddle shifters 😂

Just buy a cheap steering wheel with a sequential shifter if you don't want to use all the other 5 gears on an actual gaming shifter

A more fancy way to do this is put 2 screws inside the shifter and do everything inside the leather. Then put everything back together and voila it looks the same
