Did you know that the modern unit of length called the meter has a connection to ancient Egypt? It's true! The meter was originally defined as being equal to one ten-millionth of the distance from the Earth's equator to the North Pole. However, this definition was later refined to be based on the length of the royal Egyptian cubit. This means that the ancient Egyptians, who used the cubit as a unit of measurement, had a rough understanding of the size and shape of the Earth, and therefore could have had knowledge of the meter. Now I noticed some questions from people who incorrectly thought to have pointed out “mistakes” in the video, when in reality these assumptions were based on a lack of understanding of some fundamental principles. These are all addressed in the video above.

*Q #1: “The number in the end changes to 29.58! That’s not the speed of light?”*

*A: Please make sure you understand that there are 2 different ways to express coordinates.*

These are:

1. In decimal degrees (like my input in the video which is the speed of light)
&
2. degrees, minutes and seconds (what Google Earth showed).

Google Earth showed the 2nd option of the coordinates. An example is 100 seconds. We can either express it as 100 seconds or as 1:40 min. The numbers are different, but they both express the same value. In the video 29 58’ 45” turns into the decimal value of 29.9792 (and vice versa).

Type the coordinates seen in the video into google earth/maps and see for yourself. Google directs us to the apex, but it is more realistic to take the pyramid as a whole to account for a potential marginal error based on inaccuracies of the metre as well as changes in the exact measurements of the planet (degree of its oblateness).

*Q #2: “There is a range of latitudinal coordinates from 29.9782 - 29.982 that all go through the Pyramid.”*

*A: In other words that means that the lowest range of accuracy is 99.991% - 99.996%.* If we include the whole pyramid the range of accuracy is therefore 99.991% - 100%. Like mentioned earlier, we have to leave room for a marginal error to occur, due to the different measurements of the planet over time as well as possible errors in the relationship between cubit and metre.

*Q #3: “But coordinates are based on the Greenwich meridian in London so it must be wrong?”*

*A: Please check that you understand the difference between LONGITUDE and *LATITUDE.*

That‘s why only the LATITUDINAL value is marked in the video. The reference object for the LATITUDE is the EQUATOR. Wouldn’t you agree that the Equator is a “universal” object of reference to choose?

Of course the longitude will be arbitrary due to the selection of Greenwich.

On a different note: I believe the original prime meridian went through Giza, and more precisely through the Great Pyramid. I‘ll explain in a video in the near future.

*Q #4: “But the powers of 10 are different! Isn’t that manipulation of the numbers?”*

*A: No, it is called scaling.* Changing the power of 10 of a number (scaling) does not change the underlying character or properties of the number, but only the representation of it in terms of units or magnitude. The value of the number remains the same, but its representation in terms of units or magnitude may change. Changing the powers of ten is literally *the* most common mathematical operation that is used to simplify and standardize numerical values in a society that uses the decimal system.

*Q #5: “What about the inaccuracies of the metre (in relationship to the cubit)?”*

*A: Yes, the generally estimated error of the metre is about 0.00005 - 0.0002* so there is a range of error we are dealing with. Even with this considered, the accuracy will be upwards of 99.9%.

It is either all coincidence or we are looking at a coherent system provided by the pyramid builders based on the measurement of earth - geo-metry. The choice is yours.

The speed of light is set at an established parameter. There's a reason that number was chosen and it isn't necessarily accurate.

The metre is an arbitrary measurement, the earth is not a sphere so the distance from the equator to the north pole is different from the distance from the equator to the south pole which is different from a quarter of the length of the equator. The fact that the French incorrectly imagined the it had some special meaning is irrelevant.
