How To Tile a SMALL FLOOR with HEXAGON TILES

preview_player
Показать описание
Traditionally, Hexagon tiles only came in a small size like a 2x2 or 1x1 Mosaic. But a more modern format is now available in 8x8, 9x9, or even larger. These larger hexagon tiles are great for a small bathroom, laundry, entry or powder bathroom floor.
This video explains in detail how a beginner or DIY'er can install these hexagon tiles with great results.
In order to keep this video from getting too long, I left out some details but those can be found by clicking the links below:

We're DIYers and today's our fist ever tiling job, which just so happens to be in a similar size bathroom and with the same size hexagons and layout as you used in this video. So, this couldn't be more relevant and your tips are very helpful. Appreciate the extra time and effort that goes into sharing your content. Cheers!

Got lucky on that toilet flange if I didn’t watch the whole thing I would’ve guessed you did the layout off the flange lol nice job !!!

Thanks for going the extra mile to bring us along in a way that not only makes sense but looks amazing. Your video quality seem to be a reflection of your attention of detail in your tile work.

Solid video, some good fundamentals. Testing for square can be done pretty quickly with the 3-4-5 system as well.

Nice Job. I’ve only ever done square or rectangular tile so this was great to watch before I tackle our bathroom. Mine is way out of square but I will definitely lay it out dry which is really good tip. Thanks for taking the time.

This video is great to show why you should start at the door and make your way out. Most important place is when you step in. As you can see leaving it to last gives you half pieces there

Perfect job, but to avoid the problem of cover lines with thinset, what I do it is once a time I instal the first tile or two tiles, I put the square laser on top of the first tile and just follow the laser lines !!!! Thanks

17:55 And I [We] so do APPRECIATE the extra time it takes to make these videos for us. Know don’t have/need to; so I greatly appreciate what you’re doing🙏🏻
Nice job on this little bathroom, and like the bigger hex tile compared to the smaller ones, little easier to cut; than again, just depends on the job itself, etc…😉
You have yourself a good day and hope things been going great for you, family, and your crews.
Just a quick question for ya, you been having trouble getting blue remodel electrical boxes (1 gang and 2 gang) as well over in CA?
Catcha L8R on the next, cheers Isaac✌🏻

Every home owner I’ve ever met that mentioned hex tiles always gives off a “I miss my coke days in the 80s” vibe

I’m so glad I came across this video. Your video is well put together, and easy for me to understand. I have done tile before, but not a floor. I am going to do the bathroom upstairs. It’s a little bigger than this but all in all I think I can get it done. I will let you know how it goes.

I love "TileCoach", I love "TileCoach". I bought the yellow bucket liner it recommended, but I found that I prefer the blue bucket liner one, which is cheaper and thicker.
