My mom likes to give me unhealthy snacks so I try to stop her but she says “ I want you to be happy”. But I’m already happy with her presence and my fathers.

stop snacking
1. have enough in your meal
2. plan snacks—healthy snacks, fruit
3. be present with that snack (not in front of tv)
4. limit the amount of snacks—pour portion
5. treat this as a habit and overcome the habit, trigger—tv, sad, bored, change the action, do something else, be consistent. we can’t get rid of habits, but override them

I don’t know why I snack but I just do. I could have a full meal and still eat or want a snack 😪 sigh snacks &/or sugar is addictive

All good advice except for the "protein" bar.

Most of these bars are just as bad as a regular candy bar, they are just labeled as healthy to sell to unsuspecting customers. They will just spike your insulin.

A better option would be a banana, apple or something more natural. Dried fruits are a great option.

Maybe a little bag of nuts. Be creative.

I will definitely use the habit techniques you mentioned.
