Youtube keeps getting worse as time goes on

I also hate it that YT search is quite literally censored. Sometimes when you’re searching for an particular video it just won’t show up anymore and you’re forced to go over to google and then click on it because at least there it still shows up. This is so annoying!

I absolutely despise the modern search engine of youtube, also the fact that there is no more pages, you have to scroll down until your device lags and bugs, why not allow us to go straight to the last page? I miss the 2010's

It's absolutely awful. I hate it so much. I also hate their advanced search. They literally don't want you to find new channels.

Another BS YouTube did is remove Sort by Date. There are times I like watching a YouTuber's older videos. Now it's gone... Google as a company sucks.

This is so true. Every time i search up something and scroll too far youtube also suggests me "For you" videos but in reality they're weird, creepy unrelated videos that i would never watch.

On a similar topic, YouTube has made searching on mobile irritating by displaying HUGE thumbnails for shorts. These things take up the entire screen, and they get listed along with the rest of the results.

It's all about ad revenue. They don't want you watching that video that helps you solve a problem or DIY something. They want you watching something with 10 ads and tons of product placement, BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM MORE MONEY. I just wish you could actually get to the content you actually want, but they have basically made that completely impossible at this point. I know there are tons of videos out there that would be very helpful when working on my car for example, but I'll be damned if I can find them anymore.

YouTube also has a tendency to throw in results on topics they know you dislike, even if they have absolutely nothing to do with what you were searching for. You'd be searching for something and they give you something that pisses you off.

Finally found a video I can agree with this is so frustrating I really hate youtube search engine for this exact reason. 😑

I've searched for videos being very specific.
Not finding anything relevant.
But then, a year later, I randomly encounter such videos, and they were made 4 years ago even.
So they would have existed when I searched. I'm fed up <3

Exactly! Youtube search is beyond horrible. Youtube puts popular videos in the search engine that has NOTHING to do with my search. I thought that was google's claim to fame, having a good search engine. Not anymore.

to me it seems they are trying to screw with out attention spans, and basically distract us lol. I don't think we will ever see a change, honestly it will only get worse most likely.

YouTube doesn't care what you want or don't want to watch. It's about going down the rabbit hole on videos while the "ads" make them money.
