I know there’s people in these comments with hundreds and thousands of hours, but I just got Rimworld and man… I’m addicted. This guide has been super helpful, thank you!

I respect the comprehensive guide, I remember how overwhelming rimworld was when I first started. I learnt a lot from just watching your 100 days series.

One thing about Phoebe Chillax. Since you get raided less, you subsequently get less "Raid Loot" in the form of weapons and armour. What this can mean, potentially, is you could fall behind the weapons/armour curve if you are not careful. You could suddenly find yourself with a large / advanced raid heading your way, when you don't really have much in the way of armour and weapons to defend yourself. Something to bare in mind when playing on her difficulty.

I was just going to watch this to give you the retention and like but with over 2000 hours in this game I have only now just learned that you can right click the allow key to unforbid all items on the map. This guide is not just for beginners, but for fools like me as well.

One thing you missed with the freezer: DOUBLE WALLS! Double walls insulate better ( Beyond that, no effect ). Which is especially important in extreme environments. Keeping colonist areas warm in arctic climates or keeping freezers cold in extreme deserts, for instance. Saves on how many heaters/coolers you need and thus less power.

One of the most important tips is to organize your colony around your workshop. Anytime your pawns produce something, they have to physically pick it up and move it to the relvenat workstation, so you want to store all of your raw resources in a warehouse right next to all your workstations with additional shelves right next to them at higher priority to store said resources and their products.
Your fridge, diningroom, and sleeping areas, temples, etc. can all but put to one side as your colonists won't be spending much productive time there. So much of the game is just learning to set this stuff up properly and in good time.

I bought Rimworld about a month ago and got 50 hours already (a lot for me personally). I always loved simulation games of every type but this one is special but i dont know how to find the proper words for it that describe it. From the start i knew this would be a blast and there i was on a 8 hour bender on my first startup of the game just to get all my colonists killed the next day after loadup haha. I just laughed for a good bit while creating another colony.

Hey VEEQUEUE. Biggest reason why I love your videos is the editing format. Thanks for the guide! Though I almost have 1.5k hours and won't really need it haha
