Realistically they could melt him down and use his metals. Iron and oxygen can only be separated if melted down, which is exactly what they do to the Cybertronians.

If this scene existed, it would have flooded the theater in tears. Poor Ironhide, he was shot in the back by a traitor called Sentinel Prime. Glad that Optimus and Megatron got rid of him. Very nice work dude.

My Theory:

KSI & Crew have found what was left of Ironhide & Decided to put him back together as possible. Due to his body being disintegrated by the Cosmic Rust, they were not able to provide CNA (DNA for transformers) to make a Prototype out of him. Instead they just decided to use his corpse for study & research purposes.
