The old lady with a stone baby actually knew she was pregnant but she had seen a woman next to her in the hospital die from a miscarriage and was so frightened that she ran home and never got it treated. She ended up adopting some children in the end

my dad grew up living in the bush in prospector tents and used to come across trees with weird bends in them while out hunting with his dad. when he asked about them one day, his dad (my grandfather) said they were directional waypoints. people would bind and bend saplings, pointing the bend in their desired direction on trails people frequently used when hunting or traveling. then the tree would grow with a bend in it that meant "this way dude"

My dog had an entire litter of "stone puppies", from, you guessed it, an ectopic pregnancy. She came to me as a rescue from a puppy mill where she had been breed stock. The calcified remains of the puppies were discovered when an x-ray was taken prior to having her spayed. 5 heads and spines can be identified inside the calcified stone. Today she is happy and healthy and living her best life, taking a nap in my lap as I type this!
