The BlackBerry 10 Phone That Should Have Been First!

This video is about the BlackBerry 10 phone that should have been first, the BlackBerry Leap.

The BlackBerry Leap is much like the BlackBerry Z10, but larger, with more battery and I think looks better too. The BlackBerry Z10 was designed to compete with the Apple iPhone 5, but it failed. The BlackBerry Leap brought a 5-inch LCD screen "phablet" form factor with the exact same specs as the Z10, but also included a much larger battery which would power the phone through the entire day. Maybe if the BlackBerry Leap was first, things would be different today.

Leap was my first phone I got brand new. It was awesome.

I have the Classic, Passport and Leap and of the three, I still use the Leap as my daily phone. For calls, texts, multiple email accounts and File Manager it's brilliant.
Camera is fine, screen is fine, only downside is could do with more memory.
For apps, I use my Priv.

Didn't realize that BlackBerry was still making phones. I used to love my BlackBerry when I had it. I will have to look into this one.

Having the Motorola One Hyper for the last 12 months.. sigh, it is so glaring that BlackBerry (having had the Z10 and Z30) never had any issues when it came to typing. No back-spacing to delete, no typing errors for words, nothing. It's as if they took the physical keyboard and hid-it under the glass. Now I am back to hitting the "M" key instead of O or L or N. When I see messages from my sister or cousin with their Apple devices, way too many words make no sense.

The Leap is still my daily phone. Sadly, I'm counting down the days to BB10 EoL and AT&T shutting down the 3G network. I love the BlackBerry OS, and I'll miss it when I have to switch in the next month or so. 😢

I cant believe no info on new release yet. Disappointed to say the least. Im holding off as much as i can on my current phone but its in its last string. I may get another phone if no info is released by BlackBerry soon.

They did release a Z3 model before the leap

It's a shame that BlackBerry OS 10 failed.
The thing that killed it was the lack of apps, and maybe the Leap launching with the Q10 or Classic at the same time as the launch devices would have saved it with more interest.

Definitely a shame considering we have to choose between Android or iOS, which basically turn you into a walking advertising target. Duopolies are never fun, I miss a 3rd option.
