Electron Transport Chain - ATP Synthase, Chemiosmosis, & Oxidative Phosphorylation

This biology video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the electron transport chain - a series of membrane bound proteins that shuttle the electrons from NADH to an electron acceptor such as Oxygen. ATP synthase is the enzyme responsible for producing ATP using the energy extracted as protons diffuse from the intermembrane space back into the mitochondrial matrix in a process known as chemiosmosis. Oxidative phosphorylation is the combination of the electron transport chain and chemiosmosis.

Really great lesson, it really helped. But i have a question, in uni. Our teacher said nadh yields 2, 5 and fadh2 yields 1, 5 ATP, why it differs like this, is there an explanation?
