The History of Rocket Technology (in under 5 minutes)

The History of Rocket technology (in under 5 minutes):
Rockets have technically existed since the first century BC, but the real history of rocket technology starts in the second World War. From the V1 and V2 rockets deployed by the Germans to the Apollo Spacecraft that sent humans to the moon, to SpaceX landing the first reusable rockets, we'll be talking about the whole history of Rocket Technology.
It's hard to talk about the history of rocket technology without talking about the history of war. Until recently, most of our rocket developments were inspired by the Cold War, with each side attempting to outdo the other. But besides the technology, we'll be talking about the people, People like John Glenn, the first American to orbit the Earth, and Valentina Tereshkova, the only woman to have ever been on a solo space mission. Even an interesting tidbit about Sergei Krikalev, the Soviet cosmonaut who would find himself stranded in space when the soviet union collapsed.
And of course, I've got to throw in some bonus tags so the YouTube algorithm will like this video more ;) : V1 rocket, V2 rocket, project Nike, Chuck Yeager, Bell X-1, PGM-17, Yuri Gagarin, John Glen, Valentina Tereshkova, USSR Proton Rocket, FR Diamant, Soyuz, Kennedy, space shuttle, Deep Space 1, Starlink, Hayabusa, ISS, SpaceX, Dennis Tito
This video is the first in a series we're testing out of 'X explained in under 5 minutes. If you like the series or have any other topics you want to see explained in under 5 minutes, let us know in the comments section (it really helps us smaller channels).
