Once a christian always a christian there is no turning back. Once the Holy Spirit enters you are changed forever. Yes we might slip or even fall sometimes but we don't turn from the faith.

I can speak from a recent experience of my own.
I simply felt a rift growing between myself and God and I was rapidly losing faith and I felt an extremely strong pull to be of the world rather than in it.
I really had no explanation as to why I felt that way other than my own pride and worldly desires.
As I turned further away I began to feel more angry and more miserable.
Ultimately I cried out to God while I was driving home from work. I cried that he’d hold onto me even when I let go.
And really that’s the thing, God is holding onto us not the other way around.
If you’re losing your faith, cry out to Jesus and begin talking with him again.
Ask for strength and wisdom and put in the work that it takes to learn and keep a strong faith.
God is, has always been, and will always be there holding on to your hand, even when you come undone.
No matter what always remember and believe that Jesus is real and he loves you more than you could ever imagine!

As much as I understand their reasonings to leave the faith since I was in their shoes at some point, In the end I came to realize that without God I cannot make it In this life. I truly need him.

I can testify to the 10:44 statement. I was sixteen when I first gave my life to Christ. My life was changed, but I always had issues with guilt and would condemn myself. I remember praying and telling God “I was just gonna go away for a while and live.” I honestly believed in my heart that I wasn’t good enough and couldn’t serve God properly. So I left my faith (albeit painfully). Some twenty years (along with many terrible choices and a hospital visit from an accident) God came to check on me. It was the first time in almost twenty years, I’d felt His presence again. Since then I’ve prayed and confessed my sins, worries, and concerns and have watched Him help me with each one. He is any and everything you’ll ever need, if you’ll allow Him to be and place Him first in your life. 💗🙏🏾💗

Christians, please understand that losing faith, for many people, is a very very dark and heartbreaking experience. so please show kindness, patience, wisdom, and empathy to those who are falling away. don’t get angry or frustrated & don’t get defensive. just be there for that person & leave the rest to God. i can’t stress enough how painful it is to lose faith.

If you're the thinking, reflective type, there will always be some questions about God and the Bible that will remain unanswered. Being troubled by unanswered questions, however, does not mean that God is not good. I had this revelation several years ago, sitting in a lonely room and depressed, that God is good even though there are some things about Him and His ways that I do not understand or find difficult to accept. After all, at the end of the day, He is God and I am not. Hopefully some of my deepest questions will be answered when I get to meet Him face to face.

Edit: I’ve been going back to church and am in a better mind space than I was three years ago. Those were dark times, but I’ve found my way back 🙏🏼

But once you've had taste of Christ and holy spirit, nothing can draw you away from them,
By default I go into deep conversations with Christ, in moments like these because for once this world would leave me but Christ won't and if things are still unanswered I would encourage you to wait on him and do your part!
