Why You Can't Enable Minecraft Ray Tracing On Xbox Series X/S, PS5

I tried the ps5 preview Still can't enable ray tracing like WOW!!! I thought this was SUPPOSE TO BE NEXT GEN EDITION. minecraft is going through it's worse time ever on consoles, specialy after 4J studio stopped working on console ver.

Still bugs me that the best selling game of all time still doesn't have a next gen version after an entire year after the consoles released. I know they've been working on RTX for Minecraft Xbox Series X for a while now

i’m fed up with mojang not saying ANYTHING about this. it’s maddening, and annoying. if we’re not getting an upgrade, then at least mojang give us shaders in the marketplace, and it better be good shaders

Ray tracing wouldn't be the only next gen upgrade, the render distance would also get a boost.

I'm from the future and they said absolutely nothing about ray tracing on consoles in this year's Minecraft Live

What bugs me is that ps5 and Xbox series x can run minecraft Java which is way superior than bedrock edition and allow Mojang to focus on just the Java edition instead. But that will never happen cause minecraft bedrock has sanctioned servers generating money and the minecraft store is just a blatant scam. Also because phones would explode from trying to run Java although that could easily be solved by adapting it to phones. A ps5/Xbox series X could probably run minecraft Java with ray tracing and shaders and have a solid FPS but it will never happen cause it’s all about the money.

Woulda been nice if they had mentioned this. Really bothers me how much they ‘dont say’ during minecraft Once a year…once a Year event. And they talk about Frogs for 20 minutes. Totally ignoring Ray tracing or series X upgrades for minecraft. Agghh. Maybe next year I guess.

I think if it will be announced at Minecraft live it will come with Caves and Cliffs part 2 and maybe we would get a Playable beta before then.

although mojang could make it a next gen only texture pack thingy so technically they wouldn’t have to make a completely new version of the game

I play minecraft ray tracing from time to time on my pc, I'm still a bit angry that minecraft wouldn't allow rtx on your own worlds instead of the other ones. If you really want it on your own worlds, you have to go through a hell hole worth of time downloading everything!

Looks like a 2023 thing, they might announce it's release on the 2022 Mincraft live, thus completing 1.18 and 1.19 for xbox one, then by 2023 when they're remapped minecraft for the current consoles the xbox sx and ps5 should be more common, because why rush on making it available when the consoles aren't exactly well spread yet lol

i got scammed by the bedrock marketplace trying to even get the minecoins for the ray-tracing worlds it ate my giftcard and didn't give me jack for it. Mojang, please focus on console versions for 3 minutes!!!
