You are biased in your analysis. In fact in Haryana specifically, casting couch model backfired for congress. Chamri Damri model as they say. Secondly Cake khaane wala insaan jalebi par baat karta hai. RG became a laughing stock.
Thirdly, dividing Hindus on caste basis is not acceptable by Hindus anymore. Fourthly, abusing India in foreign nation is not acceptable. Fifthly, congress focussed on Jaats and not on OBC and Dalits by avoiding Sailja ji.
And lastly RSS backed BJP by door to door campaigning with pamphlets describing work done by BJP in last 10 years.

Nair Saab, first of all I still believe EVM played a major role in haryana elections, second there is a popular saying in South that" Goat always believes the butcher"this is the spate of dalits in India, inspite of knowing BJP RSS is anti dalits, they still vote for BJP to satisfy the egos of their so called leaders

1. BJP did some developments and highly marketed it, to get votes of urban population.
2. Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim Insaan got so many votes for BJP nobody can imagine
3. Votes were either pro-bjp or anti-bjp. And INC being biggest party was about to get all the anti-bjp votes. But candidates from smaller parties like AAP, JJP, INLD, BSP etc. deviated many votes from INC. Local leaders of INC couldn't properly consolidate all the anti-bjp votes.

Maybe caste politics helped BJP, but I don't think it had played a larger game than many people are imagining.

Congress never defeat if EVM would be continued. If EVM would not use BJP will be no more.

Suddenly the BJP seats started increasing in the afternoon as set up the EVM by Election Commission. It was well known that Haryana elections will be won with EVM. People votes do not count by Election Commission change the votes in the strong room during the cooling off period.
