In this episode of The Editorial, Mr. Sujit Nair discusses how our changing India is going in a completely different direction. To present his point of view, Mr. Nair refers to the Global Hunger Index and a World Bank report on India. To highlights how our priorities seem to be shifting, Mr. Nair talks abouts the latest judgement by the Karnataka High Court, which ruled that chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' slogans inside a mosque does not hurt the religious sentiments of any community.

Sujith, you are one man army, raising the issue of Secularism. 👌🙏👍
It is truly shocking that the Judges of Karnataka High Court lost a sense of objectivity, and balance and the spirit of secularism while delivering judgements. It looks like that the Supreme Court has to intervene and rebuke the judges in High Courts. What a shame.

If that is the case then chanting a religious slogan in the court of law should not violate the sanctity of courts because it doesn't hurt anybody's sentiments. Right?

No it won't be ok with me as it shouldn't be with other places of worship. Absolutely brilliant editorial.

I feel the judge is not fit to be in the judge's chair and SHOULD be kicked out, a person of such a calibre I failed to understand his judgment gives me to wonder first of all if people of different religions are living in harmony as per his knowledge why doesn't he understand if yet all there would have been no complaints it is simple as that.

Ask the judge if someone comes into his house and starts Azan early morning, let him say the same thing!😢

The High Court is supported by the Center and The Supreme Court.

Chanting "jai sri ..." in a mosque is outrageous without any doubt. And a judge acknowledging such outrageous act is unfortunate and more outrageous.

Where are we heading towards ? God save our country .
