Of all the predicaments of the modern world, stress is one of the most toxic ones. I'm not talking about our fight or flight response to an immediate threat. I'm talking about daily, chronic,  low-grade stress that keeps our cortisol level elevated throughout the day, when we're stuck in traffic or have an argument on social media. Chronic stress is at the root cause of many problems: insulin resistance, poor sleep pattern, weight gain, premature aging or cardiovascular disease.
There are many effective solutions: meditating,, aspending time in nature, disconnecting from the digital world, journaling or getting a massage or a sauna. Find what works for you and make sure you get plenty of sleep but also enough physical activity. Walk, run, swim, move or lift weight. Since the digital revolution, the need for an actual mind-body connection became more important than ever.
