5 Underrated Spells for Warlocks in D&D 5e!

Because of the limited number of spell slots that a Warlock has access to, the choice of spells is critical.
This is a shame because it means that players will only stick to the tried and true Hex, which doesn't up cast particularly well, instead of experimenting with some of the others spells that the Warlock can use.
So here is my take on 5 underrated Warlock spells from levels 1 to 5.

Im building a Reborn Undead Warlock with pact of the talisman. I just realized that Armor of Agathys will work perfectly with the invocation that lets you use your reaction to do 1D10 physic damage and blast them back 10 feet. This is gonna be a lot of fun. Solid list of spells overall.

take Pact of the Tome, then Book of Ancient Secrets. Pick the Mold Earth cantrip; use it to make a lengthy 5ft wide hallway when you know enemies are pursuing you, then place Wall of Light lengthwise down the corridor when they're halfway down it. If your pact is with a Dao, you could also have Spike Growth to lay down along the pathway. You could try to design it so they can't see the spikes until they're already in the tunnel and are body blocked by their own buddies behind them.

I'd throw in Shadow of Moil as an honorable mention for all warlocks but especially bladelocks. All your attacks are at advantage while all attacks against you are at disadvantage unless the enemy has blindsight (maybe tremor sense), You deal 2d8 damage on anyone within 10ft if they hit you with an attack, and you can't be targeted directly with any spell as you are "heavily obscured". can't be counterspelled or hit with anything that requires a Wis/Cha save essentially

Great list! Thanks for this. Only have to disagree with AOA, it's a great spell, but it seems everyone knows that already (not 'underrated')

I'm curious to see how the new Warlock for 6e, or whatever they've decided to call it, will change this list. Something for the future.
