My BIGGEST Mistake While Building Our Cabin

I am building a cabin from scratch. This includes clearing the land, pouring a concrete foundation, saw milling lumber from our own trees, and timber framing the cabin. This week I raise the cabin wall using our tractor and almost break it by dropping it.

Looking at the size of the lumber you are using and your skill in making joints, you are building that cabin to last a long time. You are doing a sterling job well done.

The pride that you take in your craftsmanship is exemplary Dylan. You really have to take care of your back, trust me when I say that you don’t want lifelong back pain. Owen is growing so fast. Stay safe.

Really like the joinery technique you are using on your new Shed. Yes Sir, she will definitely be wind proof. May even be a refuge point if you are caught in open spaces when a Storm passes through. 🇨🇦

When I started work in Mobile a number of years ago, I learned the word “jenky.” I believe your lifting mechanism may classify for that. Good thing this is a “how we did it” channel! Love the content always!!
