Everyone disses the night king, but it was really considerate of him to stand there patiently while theon and bran had their emotional moment.

He needed to hear that before he died. That was his moment.

Theon and Sandor were the Buisness, nobody's character development is better than theirs

How did Alfie Allen not win an Emmy? He was fantastic as Theon

I cried tough watching this the first time. After all he went though just to hear those words especially from Bran must have meant a lot. Theon definitely redeemed himself at the end.

Crying on cue like, even if it's just a few tears, is very hard. Allen is a incredible actor.
I really wish the person Theon turned into had lived through this battle.

I would argue that the audiences feelings about a character changed more with Theon than any other. You go from not caring about him, to being annoyed with him, to hating him, to feeling he is getting what he deserves, to pitying him, to being proud of him, back to feeling bad for him, and finaling to respecting him.

Those words were redemption to Theon…now he can die in peace.

Theon had the best redemption arc in the whole series. RIP my Iron Wolf.

I feel like a lot of people don't realise how much more physically exhausting Alfie Allen's role is compared to the others. You have to act through several seasons of torture, trauma, fear, depression, tentative joy and shame, and half your job is getting laughed at and beaten, rolling on the ground in agony and humiliation. Not only is it extremely emotionally draining to constantly have to be in 'stressed hamster' mode, but you also can't ask for a less flattering role.

Compare that to say, Jerome Flynn, whose job as Bronn basically requires him to go on camera and be funny and charismatic. Compare to say Charles Dance, whose job is to get onstage and be awesome.

I'm not necessarily saying one is easier than the other, but one is definitely less exhausting and easier on the ego than the other. If I had to play any of the characters on GoT, Theon would definitely, definitely be the toughest, most draining, most demanding, least palatable role to play.

Alfie Allen has done some of the most difficult work on the GoT set, and he doesn't get nearly enough respect and credit for it.

(Edit: I'd also like to mention that being forcibly castrated in Theon's circumstances was an exceptionally brutal version of rape. It's a kind of violation at least on par with rape, if not infinitely more. So Reek and Theon post-Reek was, for all intents and purposes, a rape victim. If Theon's female, the current social climate would have seen Alfie Allen get an emmy for the portrayal. But since Theon is male, it's eunuch jokes, sausage jokes, cock merchant jokes, 'he deserved it's, and not a single award.)

Theon was superb for season 8. His redemption arc is the best

Bran says "you're a good man" because he knows what Theon must do in order for them to win, and that look Theon gives Bran is him slowly realizing it as well. That was his moment to redeem himself and his family name and he did it flawlessly.
