Atticus actually did full rep push-ups from start to finish and went all the way on each sit-up

Patrick’s effort on the sit ups and push ups was great but failed to do them properly. Atticus got the W in my opinion because of proper execution.

Atticus actually won. His pushups & situps were on point. Patrick's would not have passed any PT test I ever took.

Team Atticus! As a man with long arms that does full reps i def respect his form

114 BS pushups vs 83 actual pushups almost none of Patrick's pushups would have been counted in a real PT test.

Its really brave of patrick to do that type of rep on a video representing the marines and not be embarrassed of himself.

I love how Atticus maintained his form when Patrick was doing half ups

The test is the MINIMUM requirements for candidates to become raw recruits in the Chinese Army.
It is not the average attained by qualified and trained soldiers.
Is it really impressive that trained US Marines passed easily?

Many of Patrick's sit-ups were also only half-ups. Atticus won based on form.

"Push ups are push ups, you just have to do them"...I'm stilling waiting for Patrick to do his first real push up.

My record for push ups in 2 mins in the Australian Army was 72. Anyone who can nail 80 plus has my respect.

I maxed out the US Army PT test back in the 1990s. Watching this I realize how great shape I was in. Getting old sucks. The only push ups I do now is when I have to lift myself off the toilet I was sitting on so long and my legs went to sleep - all because I was watching YouTube.

Patrick barely did any pushups how did he win that? Atticus was doing them properly going all the way down and up. That a win for Atticus to me in pushups

Patrick doing the classic half arm head bob. A proper push up is breaking 90 degrees on elbow or chest touching ground and it doesn't count until you lock arms straight again.

aren't real pushups. When I was in Combat Control school, we AIRMEN used to laugh at Marines who couldn't do a real pushup, a real situp, OR a real pull up to save their lives. They also couldn't run very fast or swim very good. They also needed raincoats when it rained. One time, we saw them at the chow hall and it started to rain, and that's when we all said, "It's starting to rain! You Marines need to go back and get your raincoats before you start melting!" I don't know why they got so mad, we were just trying to help. WE didn't mean anything. Oh, and the last time that I tested, I could do 115 REAL pushups in two minutes. I thought that I actually did more, but my cadre took a few off, because he didn't consider them real pushups. I also did 120 REAL situps in two minutes, over 35 REAL pullups in two minutes, and I ran 10 miles in one hour. And there were 2 people who beat me in the running. Anyway, my Tiger Kung Fu...is better than yours...I don't think you're good enough...to avenge your master...

as a 30yr Marine dating back to the old prt and cmc readiness tests and finishing up in '90 before crunches were introduced, Patrick would have scored 0 on pushups for not fully extending up and down but honestly the entire test is not really a challenge for any Marine.

Thanks for the opportunity! That was a damn good challenge🙏

Atticus easily takes this win. If Patrick would have done correct push-ups, it may have been close. He only did about 3 correct.

As someone who can only do 10 push-ups in a row, i find this hella impressive

Edit:i can now do 20
