People often ask me “don’t you get lonely when solo trabeling?” From now on I will show them this video.
Solo traveling makes it so easy to meet new people. When you’re with a group you tend to stay in your bubble and not talk to strangers. And alone you’re way more approachable too!
When I came to Szeged I didn’t have any accommodation. Because of the festival it was SUPER expensive. I didn’t know about the festival so you can guess what I was thinking. “HOW IS THIS CITY SO EXPENSIVE, IT’S HUNGARY?!”
Luckily through Instagram I came in contact with Neo! He was super kind and his couch wasn’t even too uncomfortable! 😁 Without him I wouldn’t even have known there was gonna be a concert or a fireworks show hahaha THIS is why meeting people is crucial for solo trips!
Szeged is a beautiful city too, I will have to go back one day to see it when it’s not super crowded. It’s your typical Hungarian city, with that I mean: peaceful, green, beautiful, clean, safe, and very atmospheric.
Every trip that I visit a new city in Hungary they have something special going on. Last time I visited Eger (a gem of a city) they also had a big concert in the main square. Hungarians love to party and organise free stuff like that for the community.
So if anyone ever told you Hungary is a terrible country, don’t listen to them 😂
