Solo travel can be fantastic, and solo travel in Japan will be the easiest and best experience of your life. Southeast Asia is overrated.

Going solo in October and can't wait. First time and hopefully the first of many visits. Really enjoy the channel and the sense of humour you have!

Wow, the amount of solo travelers like me going to japan this year is amazing, and it feels great knowing I’m not the only one who enjoys solo travels! I’m going this October and I seriously can’t wait

I have traveled to Japan 7 times now and only 2 of them were with friends, I enjoyed that but enjoyed the solo travel the most.
And while living in Japan for 3 years, I enjoyed exploring the "normal" everyday places the most.

I am a photographer, absolutely no way I am going there for the first time making compromises, I cannot wait to travel Japan SOLO in 2025. Cheers for the tips!

Hello,

I went to Japan 3 times solo and 1 time in group. It was a bad experience in group because you have to make compromises on what you want to do.
If you speak a bit japanese, don't be afraid to talk people. Most japanese are helpfull even you don't speak japanese. It's a bit tricky in small village but it's a great experience.
I'm go back there in november and i can't wait to be there.

Thanks for the video.

I’ll be going to Japan next month for 3 weeks and honestly I’m pretty fucking nervous because I have bad social anxiety lol. This video has calmed my nerves a bit thank you!

Great video! I solo traveled to Japan too and figured out a lot of stuff along the way. I met some really interesting characters—like a Japanese senior executive who gave me a lecture on the importance of punctuality. Then there was the western far-right YouTuber whose takes were... unique (to be clear, it wasn't Emil). I even had an odd encounter with a nuclear technician in a bar in Golden Gai who wasn't really proud of his work post-Fukushima. And let's not forget the elderly lady who insisted I join her in a karaoke booth to... "butcher old classics". Solo travel in Japan is like a grab bag of surprises and wonderfully weird encounters!

Went to Japan for ten days and didn’t meet or talk to anybody there. I really enjoyed Japan and would go back again.

Exactly last year ago, me and my cousins went to Japan for 10 days. However, I’ve preferred to walk by myself and much to their worries, I had a nice and safe time going solo. Even made a couple of friends of the locals between Tokyo and Osaka.

I’m returning to Japan this October for a true authentic solo experience and pace my own time!

Great video bro! Might actually consider solo travelling myself since my friends want to go in like a couple of years. I want to take advantage of the cheap prices now 😂 keep up the content :)

I do solo traveling and I've been to Japan more than 10 times. I am the paranoid kind of traveler because I've been held-up 4 times as a young person (where I grew up). I am embarrassed to say where so I won't say where they happened. This is what I can tell you - I totally agree with you when you said "Southeast Asia is overrated". I am now in my 60s and Japan is the ONLY place I feel safe as a solo traveler. I am also diagnosed with (maybe) a terminal disease and the first thing that came to my mind after the diagnosis was I have to go back to Japan as soon as after my treatment is over.

100% recommend solo travel in Japan. Had an amazing experience meeting people and exploring the country at my own pace - can't wait to go back again this Fall.
