I have had succulents grow from leaves that have fallen on the floor, they really will grow if you leave them be. Once the mother leave completely dies off and breaks away, you’ll find the baby to find you baby with its own roots. Just plop that baby into a small pot with its own succulent soil mix, water, and place in a sunny window.

Ignoring them is really the best advice! When I first tried propagating succulents I did a whole fancy arrangement, covered them, spritzed them... All of them failed. Once I started just ignoring them and letting leaves fall, it's been so easy to propagate 🤣

I accidentally grew a tomato plant just by dropping a tomato out my window and never picking it up 😂

I love how they make a teeny tiny lil version of themselves. I dropped some leaves behind my plant stand and didnt realize it. I had failed to proprogate for years.. now I know. Neglect makes them grow!

DESERT HACK! I tried just leaving my leaves on soil and ignoring them but they failed when I did that... My solution was to drape a sheet of saran wrap on an upright stick and make a little tent over the terra cotta plate and spray like 2x/week. I live in a pretty much zero humidity climate, it helps preserve moisture! Now almost all my leaves make babies, I have soo many lil beefs

I personally needed to water mine. Otherwise, they died or just never rooted or anything. but that's my own personal experience, and everyone's experience is different! I have heard a lot of people saying ignoring them is the best move, and if that works for you, then that is what you should do! but mine just dry out and die, or if they do hold onto life, they won't create more :') but if I water them a day or two after the dirt drys out, I'll get roots and babies SO damn quickly!! I got a tray with a bunch of sucks on it, and at first, I did ignore it, but like 3 months went by and not even a single root was growing on any of them. then i started watering them, and BAM in a matter of weeks a lot of them have finally rooted and started putting off babies!

Yep I have like 20 of these growing in a take out container lol. Definitely forget about them otherwise you'll spiral thinking you're doing something wrong lol. Also don't water them after you pot them separately because they rot easily. Just let them grow bigger. Just spritz them once and leave lol.

I grow sedum at work, all the varieties, and they are like an in-between of succulents and grass... I mean, they're basically succulent grass. Point is, though, they are extremely prolific, or at least quick to take. They do better with the short droughts, and really, the dryness helps. Love the video!

Your voice and tone was very kind and personable/ welcoming. I don't know what succulents are but I am glad I watched. I wish you and others in pursuit of their goals a good tomorrow. Take care.

I literally left my succulent leaves by the window. No soil, no water. And it grew babies😇
